Welcome to Spring Institute of FinTech, also referred to as SIF. SIF is operated by FinTech Training Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore jurisdiction.
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the SIF websites, applications, learning management system, course portals, educational services, online programmes, webinars, assessments, certifications, community features, digital credentials and related digital products and services.
By accessing the Platform, creating an account, enrolling in a Course, making a payment, redeeming a coupon, participating in a programme, submitting content or otherwise using any SIF service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
1. Definitions
In these Terms, the following words have the meanings set out below:
“Account” means a learner, student, visitor or user account created on or through the Platform.
“Content” means all content made available on or through the Platform, including videos, audio recordings, written materials, slides, notes, quizzes, assessments, graphics, illustrations, images, animations, software elements, user interfaces, certificates, badges, digital credentials, downloadable resources, brand materials, mascots, community content and course materials.
“Course” means any course, class, webinar, workshop, training programme, learning pathway, module, assessment, examination, bootcamp, certification programme or educational product made available by SIF.
“Platform” means all SIF websites, mobile applications, learning management systems, course portals, dashboards, digital student ID systems, assessment tools, certification systems, community channels and related digital services.
“SDB” means Spring Development Bank, where used as a payment, ecosystem, infrastructure or related service provider.
“SIF”, “we”, “us” or “our” means FinTech Training Pte. Ltd., trading as or operating Spring Institute of FinTech, together with its authorised representatives, affiliates, contractors, instructors, service providers and platform operators, where applicable.
“User”, “you” or “your” means any person who accesses or uses the Platform, including learners, students, scholarship recipients, visitors, webinar participants, community members, instructors, contributors and account holders.
2. About SIF
SIF is a digital education initiative focused on fintech, blockchain, artificial intelligence, financial literacy, digital economy skills and related technology education for learners across Myanmar and beyond.
SIF exists to support digital builders, fintech innovators, learners, entrepreneurs and financially literate communities through accessible, practical and future-focused education.
SIF may work with ecosystem partners, payment providers, instructors, technology vendors, digital credential providers, wallet providers, blockchain infrastructure providers, community organisations and learning partners to deliver the Platform and its services.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, no ecosystem partner, payment provider, instructor, bank, wallet provider, technology provider or community partner is a party to these Terms merely because its services, name, integration or content appears on or is made available through the Platform.
3. Status of these Terms
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and FinTech Training Pte. Ltd., the Singapore-incorporated operator of Spring Institute of FinTech.
Additional terms may apply to specific Courses, promotions, scholarships, payment methods, digital credentials, mobile applications, community channels, partner services or special programmes. Where additional terms apply, they form part of these Terms.
If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and any specific Course, promotion, scholarship, payment or programme terms, the specific terms will prevail to the extent of that inconsistency.
These Terms apply to SIF educational services only. They do not replace any separate terms that may apply to SDB, NUGPay, Stripe, card issuers, wallet providers, blockchain networks, social login providers, app stores, communication platforms or other third-party services.
4. Platform principles
SIF aims to provide a secure, inclusive and high-quality digital learning environment.
When using the Platform, you must:
a. use the Platform honestly, responsibly and lawfully;
b. respect the integrity, availability and security of the Platform;
c. protect your Account, password and digital identity;
d. engage respectfully with instructors, learners, support teams and community members;
e. use educational resources for personal learning purposes only;
f. comply with academic integrity standards;
g. avoid conduct that harms SIF, other Users, the Spring ecosystem or the wider community; and
h. comply with these Terms and any applicable Course rules, community guidelines or platform policies.
SIF may suspend, restrict or terminate access where a User breaches these Terms or compromises platform security, fairness, integrity, trust or reputation.
5. Eligibility
You may use the Platform only if you have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are below the age of legal capacity in your location, you may use the Platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Certain features may have additional eligibility requirements, including paid Courses, identity verification, scholarship programmes, digital wallet integrations, blockchain-based certificates, cryptocurrency payments, ecosystem points, promotional rewards and partner services.
SIF may refuse registration, enrolment, access or continued use where we reasonably believe that:
a. you are not eligible to use the relevant service;
b. the information provided by you is inaccurate, incomplete or misleading;
c. your Account has been created for fraud, abuse, impersonation or circumvention;
d. your use may create legal, compliance, safeguarding, operational or security risk;
e. your use may breach these Terms or third-party terms; or
f. access is restricted due to payment, platform, regional, technical or compliance limitations.
6. Account registration
6.1 Student Account
To access certain Courses and services, you may be required to create a Student Account.
Registration may require:
a. a valid email address;
b. a password or approved authentication method;
c. social login through approved providers such as Google or Facebook;
d. your name, contact details and learner profile;
e. payment information or payment reference information;
f. verification information; and
g. any other information reasonably required for enrolment, support, certification, fraud prevention, account security or operational purposes.
You must ensure that all information you provide is accurate, complete and kept up to date.
6.2 Digital student ID and verification
SIF may use digital student IDs, partial know-your-customer verification, account activity checks, audit logs and related verification controls.
These controls may be used to:
a. protect learners and the Platform;
b. verify student identity;
c. prevent fraud, abuse, impersonation and duplicate accounts;
d. support secure Course access;
e. verify payment and scholarship eligibility;
f. support credential issuance; and
g. maintain academic and platform integrity.
Depending on the Course, payment method, scholarship, certificate type or risk level, SIF may request additional information or documents.
Failure to provide requested information may result in delayed access, refusal of enrolment, suspension of your Account, cancellation of a certificate or termination of access.
6.3 Account security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, passwords, devices, authentication tools and Account access methods secure.
You must not:
a. share your Account with another person;
b. permit any unauthorised person to access paid Content through your Account;
c. sell, rent, transfer or assign your Account;
d. use another person’s Account without permission;
e. bypass authentication, access controls or payment verification;
f. create multiple Accounts to abuse promotions, scholarships, points or certificates; or
g. misrepresent your identity.
Where available, you are strongly encouraged to enable two-factor authentication and regularly review your Account activity.
You must notify SIF promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, credential compromise, fraud, misuse or any security incident affecting your Account.
SIF may suspend, restrict, lock or terminate an Account if we reasonably suspect unauthorised access, fraud, misuse, compromise, identity abuse, suspicious activity or breach of these Terms.
7. Course enrolment and access
7.1 Enrolment
Course enrolment may be free, paid, scholarship-based, coupon-based, sponsored, invite-only or subject to separate approval.
Access is granted only after SIF confirms that all applicable enrolment requirements have been satisfied.
SIF may accept, reject, delay, cancel or revoke enrolment where necessary for academic, operational, compliance, payment verification, fraud prevention, security or platform integrity reasons.
7.2 Access period
Unless the relevant Course page or Course terms state otherwise, Course access is provided for personal learning purposes only and may be limited by:
a. Course duration;
b. cohort dates;
c. subscription period;
d. assessment deadline;
e. certification deadline;
f. promotional access period;
g. platform availability; or
h. operational conditions.
SIF may change Course schedules, instructors, materials, assessment formats, learning pathways, access windows, community features or delivery methods where reasonably necessary.
7.3 Course changes
SIF may update, improve, replace, withdraw, suspend or discontinue any Course, feature, assessment, instructor, certificate format, reward, point system, scholarship, payment method, community channel or Platform function.
SIF may do so where reasonably necessary for educational quality, security, compliance, operational continuity, technical improvement, partner availability, fraud prevention or ecosystem development.
Where a material change affects paid Course access, SIF will use reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative, such as continued access to equivalent materials, rescheduled delivery, account credit or another remedy determined by SIF.
7.4 No guaranteed outcome
SIF aims to provide high-quality education, but we do not guarantee that completion of a Course will result in:
a. employment;
b. income;
c. investment returns;
d. financial gain;
e. admission to any programme;
f. professional recognition;
g. regulatory approval;
h. business success; or
i. any other specific outcome.
Your learning outcome depends on many factors, including your effort, prior knowledge, technical environment, participation, assessment performance and personal circumstances.
8. Payments
8.1 Payment methods
SIF may support payment through one or more approved payment methods, including:
a. Spring Development Bank as a primary payment infrastructure where available;
b. NUGPay;
c. international card payments, including Visa or Mastercard through supported processors such as Stripe;
d. approved digital wallets;
e. approved cryptocurrency payment methods;
f. scholarship coupons, sponsorship codes or promotional access codes; and
g. any other payment method notified by SIF.
Available payment methods may vary by location, Course, operational availability, payment partner requirements, compliance controls, technical conditions and risk assessment.
8.2 Third-party payment providers
Payment services may be provided by third-party payment providers. Your use of those payment services may be subject to their own terms, fees, verification requirements, transaction limits and privacy practices.
SIF is not responsible for:
a. payment-provider delays;
b. failed transactions;
c. refused payments;
d. reversed payments;
e. incorrect payment details entered by you;
f. card issuer restrictions;
g. wallet errors;
h. network congestion;
i. currency conversion fees;
j. blockchain confirmation delays;
k. third-party account restrictions; or
l. service outages caused by payment providers.
8.3 Payment verification
Access to paid Courses may require payment verification before activation.
For manual verification, you may be required to upload valid payment proof, such as a payment screenshot, transfer confirmation or transaction reference.
The Finance Team or authorised payment support team may review transaction details before Course access is activated.
You must not upload false, altered, duplicated, stolen, misleading or unauthorised payment evidence.
SIF may reject payment proof, delay activation, request further information, suspend access or report suspected fraud where appropriate.
Course activation may require up to twenty-four (24) hours after receipt of complete and valid payment verification materials, depending on operational workload, payment confirmation and system availability.
8.4 Prices, taxes and fees
Course prices, promotional prices, scholarship discounts, payment charges and applicable fees are shown on the Platform or through official SIF communication channels.
Unless otherwise stated:
a. prices are stated in the currency displayed at checkout or on the relevant Course page;
b. payment-provider charges, card charges, wallet charges, blockchain network fees, gas fees, conversion spreads and third-party fees are your responsibility;
c. SIF may correct obvious pricing errors before or after enrolment; and
d. SIF may change prices at any time, but price changes will not normally affect confirmed enrolments already paid for and accepted.
You are responsible for any taxes, duties, levies, charges or similar amounts that may apply to your purchase, payment method or location, except to the extent SIF is required to collect and remit them.
8.5 Cryptocurrency payments
Where SIF accepts cryptocurrency or digital asset payments, you acknowledge that:
a. digital asset transactions may be irreversible;
b. wallet addresses, network selection and transaction details must be checked carefully by you;
c. incorrect networks, incorrect wallet addresses, unsupported assets or underpayments may result in loss of funds or failure of enrolment;
d. blockchain network fees and gas fees are not controlled by SIF;
e. digital asset prices may be volatile;
f. refunds may be affected by market movements, network fees and operational limitations;
g. SIF may apply additional verification, screening, wallet checks or restrictions to digital asset payments.
SIF may refuse, delay, reverse where possible or reject a digital asset payment where we reasonably consider it necessary for security, fraud-prevention, operational or compliance reasons.
9. Refunds and cancellations
SIF maintains a structured, condition-based refund policy designed to balance learner fairness with digital content protection.
9.1 Refund eligibility
A refund request is eligible only if all of the following conditions are met:
a. the request is submitted within seven (7) calendar days of payment;
b. your Course completion remains below twenty per cent (20%); and
c. no digital certificate, badge, credential, completion record or verifiable credential has been issued.
SIF may reject a refund request that does not satisfy all eligibility requirements.
9.2 Refund submission requirements
A refund request must include:
a. your full registered student name;
b. your registered email address or student account identifier;
c. the Course title;
d. the payment reference number or transaction proof;
e. the payment method used; and
f. the reason for cancellation or refund.
SIF may request additional information where needed to verify identity, payment, enrolment status, Course progress or refund eligibility.
9.3 Refund processing
Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment infrastructure where operationally feasible.
Processing may require seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days after approval, subject to payment-provider timelines, banking arrangements, network conditions and operational availability.
Where refund through the original method is not feasible, SIF may offer an alternative refund method, account credit, Course transfer or other reasonable remedy.
9.4 Non-refundable items
Unless SIF decides otherwise, the following are non-refundable:
a. Courses where completion is twenty per cent (20%) or more;
b. Courses where a certificate, badge, credential, completion record or verifiable credential has been issued;
c. scholarship, coupon or sponsored access where you did not make a cash payment;
d. blockchain network fees, gas fees, payment-provider fees and currency conversion charges;
e. administrative charges expressly stated as non-refundable;
f. access revoked due to fraud, abuse, academic misconduct or breach of these Terms;
g. expired promotional access; and
h. unused access after the Course access period.
9.5 Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you raise a chargeback, payment reversal or payment dispute without first allowing SIF a reasonable opportunity to investigate, SIF may suspend Course access, withhold certificates, restrict your Account or request further verification.
SIF may permanently terminate Accounts involved in abusive chargebacks, fraudulent payment evidence or repeated payment disputes.
10. Scholarship coupons and promotional access
SIF may issue scholarship coupons, event rewards, sponsorship codes, community rewards, promotional codes or other access benefits to expand financial accessibility and support community learning.
10.1 Coupon validation
To redeem a scholarship coupon or promotional code, you must follow the applicable redemption process.
This may require you to upload the complete coupon image, verification proof, event evidence, code screenshot or other supporting information.
Coupon validation may occur through the payment page, enrolment section, learning management system or other official channel designated by SIF.
Incomplete, cropped, altered, duplicated, expired, transferred or suspicious submissions may be rejected.
10.2 Usage restrictions
Unless SIF expressly states otherwise, coupons and promotional access:
a. are for one-time use only;
b. are personal to the intended recipient;
c. cannot be exchanged for cash;
d. cannot be sold, transferred, resold, auctioned or commercially exploited;
e. cannot be combined with other promotions;
f. may be limited by Course, cohort, date, geography, eligibility, community status or verification requirement; and
g. may expire if not used within the stated period.
10.3 Fraud prevention
SIF may audit coupon usage, promotional access, scholarship awards, event participation and reward claims.
SIF may revoke access, cancel certificates, remove points, suspend Accounts or take enforcement action where coupons, rewards or promotional benefits are obtained through fraud, manipulation, duplication, impersonation, automated activity, false evidence or breach of campaign rules.
SIF may modify, pause, extend, withdraw or terminate a campaign at any time where necessary for operational, fairness, security or ecosystem reasons.
11. Learning experience, points and gamification
SIF may provide a gamified learning environment to encourage consistent learning and engagement.
Learners may be eligible to receive:
a. platform loyalty points;
b. achievement badges;
c. learning streak rewards;
d. Pollen ecosystem points;
e. community recognition milestones;
f. rankings; and
g. other digital engagement indicators.
Unless SIF expressly states otherwise:
a. points, badges, streaks, rankings and community milestones are promotional and educational in nature;
b. they do not represent cash, deposits, securities, stored value, regulated financial products or guaranteed entitlements;
c. they have no monetary value outside the rules of the relevant SIF or Spring ecosystem programme;
d. they may be corrected, adjusted, revoked, suspended, expired or discontinued;
e. they may be subject to fraud checks, eligibility checks and technical limitations; and
f. they must not be purchased, sold, traded, farmed, manipulated or exploited.
Participation metrics may influence rankings, achievements, reward eligibility, scholarship consideration or future ecosystem opportunities, but SIF does not guarantee any benefit, allocation, conversion, reward, token, credential or commercial opportunity.
12. Assessments and academic integrity
12.1 Assessment requirements
To complete a Course or qualify for a certificate, you may be required to:
a. complete all required modules;
b. attend or watch required sessions;
c. complete quizzes, assignments, practical exercises or examinations;
d. achieve the designated passing score, typically seventy per cent (70%) unless stated otherwise;
e. satisfy identity or participation checks; and
f. comply with all academic integrity requirements.
12.2 Academic misconduct
You must not engage in academic misconduct.
Academic misconduct includes:
a. cheating in quizzes, assignments or examinations;
b. submitting work completed by another person;
c. plagiarism or unauthorised copying;
d. misuse of artificial intelligence tools contrary to Course rules;
e. impersonation or allowing another person to complete work for you;
f. sharing assessment answers without permission;
g. tampering with scores, completion records or certificates;
h. using bots, scripts or automation to complete learning activity;
i. providing false information to obtain a certificate, scholarship or reward; and
j. manipulating Course progress or assessment results.
SIF may investigate suspected academic misconduct and may withhold, revoke or amend scores, certificates, badges, credentials, points, Course access or Account status.
12.3 Use of artificial intelligence tools
SIF recognises that artificial intelligence tools may be relevant to fintech and digital economy education. However, AI tools must be used only as permitted by the relevant Course rules.
Where AI assistance is allowed, you remain responsible for the accuracy, originality and integrity of your submissions.
Where AI assistance is prohibited or restricted, unauthorised use may be treated as academic misconduct.
13. Certificates, badges and digital credentials
SIF may issue certificates, badges or digital credentials to learners who satisfy the relevant Course requirements.
Certificates and credentials may be issued as:
a. downloadable PDF certificates;
b. digital badges;
c. blockchain-ready certificates;
d. verifiable digital credentials;
e. NFT-based credentials; or
f. other formats introduced by SIF.
SIF may refuse, delay, correct, amend, suspend or revoke any certificate, badge or credential if:
a. Course requirements were not met;
b. payment was not completed, was reversed or was disputed;
c. identity verification was incomplete or failed;
d. the certificate or credential was issued in error;
e. academic misconduct, fraud or misuse is suspected or confirmed;
f. the learner breached these Terms;
g. the certificate, badge or credential was obtained through dishonest conduct; or
h. SIF considers revocation necessary for operational, security, platform integrity or compliance reasons.
Where blockchain-based or NFT-based credentials are used, you acknowledge that public blockchain records may be visible, persistent and difficult or impossible to alter.
You are responsible for providing accurate wallet, identity or delivery details where required.
SIF does not guarantee that any certificate, badge, NFT or credential will have market value, transferability, regulatory recognition, employment value, academic recognition or acceptance by any third party.
14. Educational content and no financial advice
The Platform provides educational information only.
SIF does not provide financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, trading advice, banking advice, regulated advisory services or personalised recommendations.
Any Content relating to fintech, digital assets, crypto-assets, blockchain, artificial intelligence, market behaviour, trading psychology, payment systems, digital banking, token economics, financial products or economic trends is provided for general learning and discussion purposes only.
You must not treat any Course, webinar, post, example, case study, quiz, market update, community discussion, certificate, badge, reward, ranking or statement by SIF as:
a. a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, trade or invest in any asset;
b. a guarantee of profit or protection from loss;
c. a promise of future market performance;
d. a recommendation to use any financial service;
e. an invitation to enter into any financial transaction; or
f. a substitute for independent professional advice.
Digital assets, financial markets, technology products and online payment systems involve risk. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and should make independent enquiries before acting on any information.
15. Intellectual property
15.1 Ownership
All intellectual property rights in the Platform and Content belong to SIF, its affiliates, licensors, instructors, partners or authorised contributors, unless otherwise stated.
This includes rights in:
a. video lessons;
b. course materials;
c. slides, handouts, notes and guides;
d. quizzes, assessments and answer keys;
e. graphics, illustrations, animations and mascots, including “Hotaru”;
f. software, code, interface design and platform workflows;
g. badges, certificates and credential templates;
h. brand names, trademarks, logos and visual identity;
i. gamification systems, point mechanics and educational systems; and
j. all other materials made available through the Platform.
15.2 Licence to use Course materials
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, SIF grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform and Course materials solely for your own personal, non-commercial learning.
This licence does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights to you.
15.3 Restrictions
You must not, without SIF’s prior written permission:
a. copy, reproduce, download, scrape, record or extract Content except as expressly permitted;
b. redistribute, publish, upload, sell, licence, rent, lend or resell Course materials;
c. share paid Content with unauthorised persons;
d. record video lessons, webinars or live sessions without permission;
e. remove watermarks, copyright notices, access controls or security features;
f. use Content to create competing courses, training products or commercial services;
g. pirate, leak, mirror or host SIF materials on another platform;
h. reverse engineer or interfere with the Platform;
i. use SIF branding, logos, mascots or certificates in a misleading manner;
j. imply endorsement, partnership or certification beyond what SIF has expressly granted; or
k. use SIF materials for any unlawful, harmful or misleading purpose.
Breach of this clause may result in Account termination, certificate revocation, removal from community channels, loss of access and enforcement action.
16. User content
You may be able to upload, submit, post or share content on the Platform, including comments, questions, assignments, quiz responses, feedback, profile information, reviews, community posts, images, screenshots, payment proof and other materials.
You retain ownership of your own content. However, you grant SIF a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, process, display, review, moderate, remove, adapt and use your content as reasonably necessary to:
a. operate the Platform;
b. provide Courses;
c. verify payments;
d. assess submissions;
e. issue certificates, badges and credentials;
f. provide learner support;
g. protect the Platform;
h. investigate misuse;
i. improve services; and
j. comply with applicable requirements.
You must ensure that your content:
a. is accurate where it purports to state facts;
b. does not infringe any third-party rights;
c. does not contain malicious code, spyware or harmful material;
d. is not unlawful, abusive, hateful, harassing, defamatory or misleading;
e. does not disclose another person’s private information without permission;
f. does not contain false payment proof, false identity information or fraudulent evidence; and
g. complies with these Terms and any applicable community guidelines.
SIF may remove, restrict, review or preserve User content where necessary for moderation, security, investigation, compliance, dispute handling or platform operations.
17. Feedback and suggestions
If you provide ideas, feedback, comments, suggestions, improvements or recommendations relating to SIF, the Platform, Courses, Content, features, branding, learning tools or ecosystem design, you agree that SIF may use them without restriction or payment to you.
You must not provide feedback or suggestions that contain confidential information belonging to another person or organisation unless you are authorised to do so.
18. Community conduct
Users must behave respectfully and responsibly in all SIF learning spaces, including learning management system forums, webinars, comment sections, group chats, social channels, community campaigns and support interactions.
You must not:
a. harass, threaten, bully, defame, abuse or intimidate any person;
b. engage in hate speech, discriminatory conduct or targeted abuse;
c. share violent, sexual, exploitative, harmful or unlawful content;
d. impersonate SIF staff, instructors, learners or third parties;
e. spam, scam, phish or solicit money from Users;
f. promote fraudulent schemes, unsafe investment activity or misleading financial claims;
g. share private information without permission;
h. disrupt webinars, classes, forums or support channels;
i. encourage others to breach these Terms;
j. abuse scholarship, coupon, reward or referral systems; or
k. act in a way that damages the safety, trust or integrity of the SIF community.
SIF may moderate community spaces and may remove content, restrict participation, suspend access or permanently remove Users who breach community standards.
19. Acceptable use and platform security
You must not misuse the Platform.
In particular, you must not:
a. attempt unauthorised access to systems, accounts, Course areas or data;
b. test, scan, exploit or disclose vulnerabilities without written authorisation;
c. upload malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses or harmful code;
d. interfere with Platform performance, availability or security;
e. use bots, scripts, automation or scraping tools without permission;
f. bypass payment systems, access controls, digital rights management or enrolment restrictions;
g. create multiple Accounts to abuse promotions, scholarships, points or certificates;
h. manipulate Course progress, rankings, points, assessments or completion records;
i. use the Platform for unlawful, deceptive or harmful purposes;
j. collect, harvest or misuse data relating to other Users;
k. access the Platform in a way that creates excessive load or operational disruption;
l. use the Platform to transmit spam, phishing messages or misleading promotions; or
m. use SIF systems in a way that creates security, operational, legal or reputational risk.
SIF may monitor activity, investigate suspicious behaviour, restrict access, preserve records, revoke benefits and take protective measures where needed to maintain Platform integrity.
20. Privacy, cookies and data use
SIF may collect and use information about you to operate the Platform, provide Courses, process enrolments, verify payments, support Accounts, conduct partial identity checks, issue credentials, prevent fraud, secure the Platform, communicate with you, improve services and comply with applicable requirements.
Personal information may include:
a. Account details;
b. student ID information;
c. contact details;
d. Course activity;
e. assessment results;
f. device information;
g. payment reference information;
h. support communications;
i. verification materials; and
j. technical logs.
Your use of the Platform is also subject to SIF’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, as updated from time to time.
SIF may use third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, communications, identity verification, payments, support, social login, blockchain credentialing, fraud prevention and learning management. These providers may process information in different jurisdictions.
You are responsible for ensuring that any information, screenshot, payment proof or document you upload does not include unnecessary sensitive information.
Where possible, you should mask irrelevant information before uploading payment screenshots or verification documents, provided that the required transaction reference remains visible.
21. Third-party services and links
The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services, including SDB, NUGPay, Stripe, card networks, digital wallets, blockchain networks, app stores, Google, Facebook, social media platforms, hosting providers, analytics providers, communication tools and community channels.
Third-party services are not controlled by SIF unless expressly stated.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms, privacy policies, fees, restrictions, verification requirements and risk controls.
SIF is not responsible for:
a. third-party service availability;
b. payment-provider delays or refusals;
c. social login failures;
d. blockchain network errors, gas fees or confirmations;
e. wallet errors or unsupported networks;
f. app store restrictions;
g. third-party content or advertisements;
h. third-party account suspension;
i. losses caused by your use of third-party services; or
j. any act or omission of a third-party service provider.
SIF may change, suspend or remove third-party integrations at any time.
22. Platform availability and technical operations
SIF aims to maintain a stable, secure and scalable educational environment. However, we do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free or compatible with every device, browser, network or operating system.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to:
a. maintenance;
b. security updates;
c. infrastructure upgrades;
d. third-party service disruption;
e. payment-provider issues;
f. blockchain network conditions;
g. cyber incidents;
h. high traffic;
i. software bugs;
j. internet or telecommunications issues;
k. power failure; or
l. events beyond SIF’s reasonable control.
SIF may carry out testing, monitoring, maintenance and optimisation to improve security and resilience.
In the event of significant disruption, SIF will make reasonable efforts to notify affected Users through official communication channels.
23. Communications
SIF may communicate with you through email, learning management system notices, in-app messages, website announcements, social channels, community channels, support tickets, Telegram, Facebook, SMS, push notifications or other official communication methods.
You are responsible for keeping your contact details up to date and regularly checking official SIF communication channels for notices relating to:
a. Course access;
b. payment verification;
c. policy updates;
d. security alerts;
e. assessment deadlines;
f. certificates;
g. refunds; and
h. Account matters.
Service-related communications are necessary for the operation of the Platform.
Marketing or promotional communications may be managed through available unsubscribe or notification settings where applicable.
24. Mobile applications
Where SIF makes a mobile application available, your use of that application may also be subject to app store terms, device requirements, operating system limitations and additional application rules.
SIF does not guarantee that any mobile application will be available on all devices, operating systems, countries, app stores or networks.
SIF may update, suspend or withdraw any mobile application where necessary for technical, operational, security or business reasons.
25. Compliance and regional availability
The Platform may not be available in all countries, regions or territories.
SIF may restrict, suspend or refuse access where we reasonably consider it necessary due to:
a. regional availability limitations;
b. payment restrictions;
c. third-party provider limitations;
d. technical constraints;
e. compliance requirements;
f. fraud prevention;
g. sanctions, export controls or similar restrictions;
h. security risks; or
i. platform integrity concerns.
You are responsible for ensuring that your access to and use of the Platform is permitted in your location.
26. Suspension and termination
SIF may suspend, restrict, revoke or terminate your Account, Course access, certificates, badges, points, coupons, rewards or community participation where we reasonably believe that:
a. you breached these Terms;
b. you engaged in fraud, abuse or academic misconduct;
c. you provided false, incomplete or misleading information;
d. your payment was not completed, was reversed or was disputed;
e. you misused scholarships, coupons, rewards or points;
f. you shared, pirated or resold Content;
g. your Account presents a security risk;
h. your conduct harms other Users, SIF or the Spring ecosystem;
i. continued access may create legal, compliance, operational or reputational risk; or
j. suspension or termination is otherwise necessary to protect the Platform.
You may stop using the Platform at any time. Stopping use does not automatically entitle you to a refund unless the refund conditions in these Terms are satisfied.
Clauses relating to intellectual property, restrictions, certificates, payment obligations, refunds, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, dispute resolution and any provisions intended to survive termination will continue after your access ends.
27. Complaints and support
For operational support, Course access issues, payment verification, refund requests, certificate queries or policy clarification, you should contact SIF through the official support channels published on the Platform.
When contacting support, you should provide sufficient information to identify your Account, Course, payment, issue and requested resolution.
SIF may ask for additional verification before assisting with Account, payment, refund, certificate or security issues.
SIF will use reasonable efforts to review and respond to support requests, but response times may vary depending on operational workload, verification requirements, payment-provider response times, security checks and technical conditions.
28. Disclaimers
The Platform and Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SIF does not give any warranty, representation or undertaking that:
a. the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or always available;
b. Content will always be accurate, complete, current or suitable for your needs;
c. Courses will produce any specific learning, career, financial or commercial result;
d. certificates will be recognised by any employer, institution, regulator or third party;
e. digital credentials, badges, NFTs, points or ecosystem rewards will retain any value or utility;
f. third-party services will remain available or compatible;
g. defects will be corrected within any specific time; or
h. the Platform will meet your individual requirements.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
29. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SIF, FinTech Training Pte. Ltd. and their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, service providers and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental, punitive or exemplary loss or damage, including:
a. loss of profit;
b. loss of revenue;
c. loss of business;
d. loss of opportunity;
e. loss of anticipated savings;
f. loss of goodwill or reputation;
g. loss or corruption of data;
h. loss arising from digital asset volatility;
i. loss arising from third-party services;
j. loss arising from unauthorised Account access caused by your failure to secure credentials;
k. loss arising from payment-provider delay, refusal or error;
l. loss arising from blockchain network error, delay, congestion or incorrect wallet information; or
m. loss arising from events beyond SIF’s reasonable control.
Subject to the paragraph below, the total aggregate liability of SIF and FinTech Training Pte. Ltd. arising out of or in connection with the Platform, any Course or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of:
a. the amount you paid to SIF for the relevant Course giving rise to the claim; or
b. USD 100.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or capped, SIF’s liability shall be limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
30. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified SIF, FinTech Training Pte. Ltd., their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, service providers and partners against all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal costs, arising from or connected with:
a. your breach of these Terms;
b. your misuse of the Platform;
c. your infringement of intellectual property rights;
d. your unauthorised sharing, recording, resale or distribution of Content;
e. your User content;
f. your academic misconduct, fraud or misrepresentation;
g. your breach of third-party terms;
h. your unlawful, abusive or harmful conduct;
i. your failure to secure your Account or credentials; or
j. any claim brought by a third party arising from your actions or omissions.
31. Changes to these Terms
SIF may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, Courses, payment methods, mobile applications, security practices, operational processes, ecosystem features, compliance requirements or business needs.
Updated Terms may be published on the Platform or notified through official communication channels.
The “Last updated” date will indicate the latest version.
Your continued use of the Platform after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
32. Assignment and transfer
You may not assign, transfer or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without SIF’s prior written consent.
SIF may assign, transfer, subcontract or delegate its rights and obligations under these Terms to an affiliate, successor, platform operator, service provider, restructuring entity or Spring ecosystem entity where reasonably necessary for business, operational, technical, compliance or organisational reasons.
33. Force majeure
SIF shall not be liable for any delay, failure, suspension, interruption or non-performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including:
a. natural disasters;
b. war, conflict or civil unrest;
c. political events;
d. telecommunications failure;
e. internet disruption;
f. power failure;
g. cyberattack;
h. payment-provider outage;
i. blockchain network congestion;
j. third-party service disruption;
k. government action;
l. regulatory change;
m. labour disruption;
n. epidemic, pandemic or public health event; or
o. any other similar event beyond SIF’s reasonable control.
34. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be treated as modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful and enforceable.
If modification is not possible, the relevant provision shall be severed.
The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
35. No waiver
A failure or delay by SIF to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other rights.
SIF may enforce its rights at any later time.
36. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable Course terms, payment terms, scholarship rules, community guidelines, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and SIF regarding your use of the Platform.
37. Language
These Terms may be made available in more than one language.
Unless SIF expressly states otherwise, the English version shall prevail in the event of inconsistency between versions.
38. Time and dates
Unless expressly stated otherwise, all Course deadlines, refund periods, payment verification periods, coupon expiry dates, assessment windows and other time periods are calculated by reference to Singapore time.
A reference to a “calendar day” means any day, including weekends and public holidays.
A reference to a “business day” means a day on which commercial banks are generally open for business in Singapore, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
39. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms, and any dispute, claim or matter arising out of or in connection with them, the Platform, any Course, any certificate, any payment, any refund or your use of SIF services, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussions.
You should contact SIF using the support or legal contact details set out in these Terms and provide reasonable details of the dispute, including your registered name, Account email, Course title, payment reference and the remedy you are seeking.
If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days after written notice of the dispute, the courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless SIF and the relevant User agree in writing to another dispute resolution process.
Nothing in this clause prevents SIF from seeking urgent injunctive, protective or equitable relief in any competent court or forum where necessary to protect intellectual property, confidential information, Platform security, payment systems, user safety, digital credentials, ecosystem integrity or SIF’s legitimate business interests.
